Welcome to VerseMine. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VerseMine mobile application ("App") and related services operated by Kreyman Enterprises LLC ("VerseMine," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use VerseMine.
We have written these Terms in plain language so you can understand your rights and responsibilities. Please read them carefully.
VerseMine is intended for users aged 13 and older. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You may not create an account or use VerseMine if you are under 13 years of age.
During account creation, we ask for your date of birth to verify that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 13, you will not be able to create an account, and we will not store any information you entered.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@versemine.app.
You can create a VerseMine account using your email address or through Apple or Google sign-in. You are responsible for:
Each person may maintain one VerseMine account. Do not share your account credentials with others.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@versemine.app. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
Without a subscription, you can browse daily passages, read community reflections, and submit one free photo for analysis. Some features are available only to subscribers.
VerseMine offers the following subscription plans:
Social+ (the core subscription):
Both Social+ plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The free trial is an introductory offer provided by the App Store or Google Play, and it is available only to accounts that have not already used it. If your store account has previously used the trial for VerseMine, your subscription begins as a paid subscription immediately.
AI Pro (an optional upgrade that unlocks the AI Counselor's deeper conversations):
AI Pro does not include a free trial. Billing begins immediately on purchase.
Group and Church Plans are sold separately for organizations. They are billed by card through Stripe rather than as an in-app purchase, and their billing, renewal and cancellation terms are set out under "Group and Church Plans" below.
Social+ and AI Pro subscriptions are purchased through in-app purchases via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
You can cancel a Social+ or AI Pro subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to subscriber features until that date. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Group and Church Plans are not cancellable through those store settings, because they are not billed by the stores — see below.
Group and Church Plans are purchased on our website and billed by card through Stripe, which makes VerseMine the merchant of record for them rather than Apple or Google.
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will take effect at the start of the next billing period following the date of the price change. We will notify you in advance so you can cancel before the change takes effect if you do not agree to the new price.
If you start a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged at the applicable rate.
VerseMine allows you to create and share content, including:
You retain ownership of the content you create. We do not claim ownership of your reflections, photos, recordings, or comments.
By posting or sharing content on VerseMine, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and store your content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the App. This license continues for as long as your content is on our platform and for a reasonable period after deletion to allow for technical removal from backups and caches.

You may delete your own reflections, comments, and other content at any time through the App. Some content (such as reactions or content already shared with others) may not be fully retrievable after deletion.
VerseMine is a faith-based community built on mutual respect. By using our community features, you agree to the following standards.
The following are prohibited on VerseMine:
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, you can report it directly within the App. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, warnings, or account suspension.
You can block other users at any time. Blocking is mutual — a blocked user will not be able to see your content or interact with you.
VerseMine uses third-party artificial intelligence services to provide certain features. We want you to understand how your data is processed.

Before your content is sent to Google Gemini, to OpenAI (for voice transcription and read-aloud), or to the AI assistant (Anthropic) for the first time, we will ask for your explicit consent. You can choose which AI features to enable and can change your preferences at any time in Settings.
AI Study Feedback and Voice Transcription are optional. You can use VerseMine for Bible reading, text reflections, journaling, and community interaction without enabling these features.
To maintain a safe community, all user-generated text (reflections, comments, and display names) is automatically reviewed by OpenAI for content that violates our Community Guidelines. This moderation is part of our commitment to community safety, operates under our Terms of Service, and cannot be turned off. Content moderation is limited to detecting policy violations — it does not generate feedback or analysis of your content.
Our AI providers process your data solely to provide the requested service. We require data processing agreements with our AI providers and contractually require them not to train their models on your content. Provider-specific retention and training terms are governed by those agreements. For full details on data handling, retention periods, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Content generated by AI services (such as study feedback, annotated images, and transcriptions) is labeled as AI-generated within the App. AI-generated content is provided for educational and devotional purposes and should not be treated as authoritative theological interpretation.
VerseMine offers an optional AI assistant feature. Conversations with the AI assistant are processed by Anthropic to generate faith-based, Bible-study, and reflective responses.
Not therapy or professional care. VerseMine's AI assistant offers spiritual guidance and biblical encouragement rooted in Scripture. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical or mental-health care; it is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or clinician; and it cannot diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It is not legal or financial advice, not a crisis or emergency service, and not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Nothing it says replaces a conversation with your own pastor — and what you share with a pastor in person may carry legal protections that a conversation with an app does not.
Not confidential or privileged. Conversations with the AI assistant are not confidential in a legal sense. We do not keep the text of your conversations on our servers — it is stored on your device — but each message you send, with a recent part of the conversation, is sent to us and on to our AI provider to produce the reply, and that provider keeps inputs and outputs for a limited period. We do keep some counseling records: that a group session happened and who was in it, raw group-session audio for about 30 days, and content-free safety records. Those records can be reached by valid legal process such as a subpoena or court order, and our AI provider and your device's iCloud or Google backup may hold copies under their own terms. Our staff can access the records we do keep — group-session audio for about 30 days, session records, and safety records — but not the text of your conversations, because we do not have it. VerseMine is not a church, pastor, or healthcare provider, and these conversations are not protected by clergy-penitent, therapist, or attorney privilege. Please weigh that before sharing details you would only tell a person bound by those protections. How we handle and retain this data is described in our Privacy Policy.
In a crisis. If you or someone you know is in crisis or may be in danger, call or text 988 (the U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency number immediately. A real person is available 24/7.
Availability. VerseMine is offered in the United States only at launch, so the App is not available for download in other countries. Within the United States, the AI assistant is further limited in some states. Availability is determined by where you are at the time you use it, so the AI assistant may also be unavailable while you are travelling outside the United States, even if you subscribed here. The rest of the App — your daily passage, highlighting and feedback, journal, friends and streaks — continues to work.

If you believe your content was removed in error, you can contact us at support@versemine.app. We will review the decision and respond within a reasonable time.
VerseMine, including its design, code, features, branding, logos, and original content, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.
Daily Bible passages provided in the App may be sourced from various Bible translations. Each translation is the intellectual property of its respective copyright holder and is used in accordance with applicable licenses and permissions. Copyright notices for Bible translations are displayed alongside passage text within the App.
If you provide us with suggestions, ideas, or feedback about VerseMine, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
VerseMine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
Bible study feedback generated by AI is for educational and devotional purposes only. It is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, professional theological education, or personal study with qualified teachers.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You can stop using VerseMine at any time. To delete your account, go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account within the App, at the bottom of Settings. Account deletion removes your profile, reflections, comments, and other content. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription — please cancel through your device's subscription settings first.
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
If we terminate your account for a violation, you may not create a new account without our permission.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including Sections 4 (license grant), 8, 9, 10, and 12.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of VerseMine will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
Your continued use of VerseMine after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, please stop using the App and delete your account.

VerseMine integrates with third-party services, including Apple and Google for authentication and payments, Stripe for group and church plan checkout and billing, and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) as described in Section 6 and in our Privacy Policy. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VerseMine regarding your use of the App.
We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms. You may not assign yours without our written consent.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
